Photos of a quick mock-up warehouse I've built in SL.

This is purely to show the look and feel of what we might build for the project. The design is from my head as a quick mock up, not following extensive design and research. I hope this gives readers an idea of the capabilities of Second Life. Avatars can teleport into this area and interact with the objects and building. We can install screens showing previously built web based assets using Flash etc, objects can sense the approaching avatar and react.

The stock and vehicles are available online and are just here to give a visual impression. We need to consider what vehicles and logos they should have.

The forklift trucks are are actually scripted and drivable by avatars. I've given you one in your inventories. Drag them from the objects folder in your inventory to the ground, then you can drive around. (Right mouse-click on them and select drive. Then use the cursor keys to steer and the page-up and page-down keys to raise and lower the forklift.) Be careful of the high acceleration.

Examples of dangerous items  have been included - boxes and crates, rusting containers outside, dubious rusting oil drums inside.

The Overall Build

My Avatar with lorries and untidy containers and boxes.

More lorries and boxes.

Forklift trucks and the interior.

Interior racking and miscellaneous stock.

Interior also showing open doors.

Interior also showing separate rooms - reception/office, staff room, toilets.
